Victoria Nadine is a voice and musician who represents and speaks on behalf of her
generation. Her raw musical style and willingness to open her heart and lay everything
out on the table has made this 23–year–old from Skien one of the most influential young
artists from Norway, with a bright future ahead.

Her 2020 breakthrough “Be Okay” went straight to the top of the charts. “Be Okay” was
written in the aftermath of a heavily publicised breakup, during a period when Victoria
Nadine found herself completely alone, without management or a record company to
back her up. Having to do everything herself only made Victoria more determined – the
song had to be released. “Be Okay” took Norway by storm: A year later, in 2021, Victoria
was nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Norwegian Grammy Awards.
At the P3 Gold Awards that same year, she was up for both ‘Newcomer of the Year’ and
‘Song of the Year’.

Things could have been very different. Victoria Karlskås Andersen was 10 years old
when she decided she was done with music. No more singing in garish, neon–lit karaoke
bars in Spain, no more performances in the living room in front of her family, no more
carolling at the school Christmas concert. After competing in a local Eurovision Song
Contest competition in her hometown and failing to make it onto the stage as one of
the winners, Victoria took her voice and retreated into her bedroom – and there it
remained for quite some time. The ten–year–old Victoria needed no further proof: other
people were much better at this stuff than she was.

The story could well have ended there, had not Victoria’s mother registered her to
compete in Norwegian Idol 2016 when she was fifteen. After pacing the floor for a
week, she finally sent in the admission form. “Let the chips fall where they may,”
thought Victoria. She ended up taking fourth place in the entire competition.
That was six years ago. In the years since, the young artist has moved to Oslo, adopted
the stage name Victoria Nadine, and have had six of her songs make into the Norwegian
Spotify Top 50 – including “Nakna” (“Naked”), her duet with the Swedish musical artist
and Young Royals actor Omar Rudberg. That song has been streamed more than one
million times since it was released earlier this year. With “Du er ikke alene” (“You Are
Not Alone”), she has also recorded her own Christmas song, which made into Norway’s
Top 10 lists. All in all, Victoria Nadine’s songs have been streamed more than 30 million
times, and she has more than 200,000 followers on social media, all of whom keep up
with her every move.

In the autumn of 2022, Victoria has devoted a great deal of time to songwriting and

studio sessions in Los Angeles, Berlin, Stockholm and Oslo. In doing so, she has
collaborated with renowned songwriters and producers. In interviews, Victoria Nadine has recounted that she was an outsider growing up, always a bit outside the inner circle of friends. Her personal songs – based on her own experiences, some of which are painful and difficult – have created a special relationship between the musician and her followers. Victoria Nadine is both the “girl next door” fans feel like they know and someone in whose footsteps they can aspire to follow.
